About
A little about me, in case anyone is interested. Off the bat, I’m a very down-to-earth person. Don’t feel afraid to just shoot me an email or approach me on the sidelines, because there’s always a smile waiting!
I graduated from Shippensburg University in May 2008 with a B.A. in Journalism. In addition to my curricular studies, I was involved with the student newspaper organization as both a photographer and editor. Concurrent with my newspaper duties, I worked very closely with the Sports Information Department and helped supplement the school’s staff photographer.
During the summer following my Junior year (2007), I took on an internship at the Herald-Mail newspaper in Hagerstown, MD. My time there was invaluable and I learned things that I still use to this day. I learned the finer points of pre-press image preparation, captioning, note-taking, organization, and the role of images in the news (something I feel is misused and underutilized).
I’m thoroughly versed in nearly all technical aspects of Photography. From lighting arenas with stadium strobes to a single portrait setup, remote cameras, computers and digital storage, I’m confident in my skills. I am willing and able to help you with your photography or assisting needs.
